LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 05: Actress Sandra Bullock receives the Troops Choice Award onstage during Spike TV's 4th Annual 'Guys Choice Awards' held at Sony Studios on June 5, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. For her first professional appearance since the highly-publicized breakup of her marriage to Jesse James, the ever-classy Sandra Bullock chose to wear a sleek, black dress by Elie Saab that hugged her curves, but wasn’t overly sexy.

Bullock appeared Saturday evening at Spike TV’s “Guys Choice Awards,” to accept an award for winner of the “Troops’ Choice” award for entertainer of the year. The Troops’ Choice award is voted on exclusively by members of the military worldwide. It seems that Bullock’s father is a veteran and she wanted to show her support to our troops and appreciation for the award.

Ever the funny gal, Bullock cracked a couple of jokes during her speech.(Video below.)

“Let’s be honest here, just for a moment,” Bullock began, standing on stage flanked by members of the U.S. military. “Did I win this for being entertainer of the year, or did I win this because of the spectacular I.E.D. [improvised explosive device] explosion that became my personal life?”

“You! You!” yelled the crowd, showing their appreciation for Bullock.

Bullock’s black, leather dress is from Elie Saab’s Fall 2010 RTW collection. She paired it with Casadei heels and jewelry by Cartier, reports E! Online.

UPI POY 2009 - Entertainment.

If you hurry, you can own a piece of Oprah — her closet, anyway. From March 1 – 11, the talk show maven is auctioning off her previously used clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories.

Check out Oprah’s whole collection on eBay.

Each item has a starting bid of $100. Just three hours after bidding opened today, a red Carolina Herrera dress that Oprah has worn on the show was already up to $810, and there’s more than a week left in the auction!

All proceeds from the sales will go towards financing the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy in South Africa.

I just loved these two looks!

First, Rihanna wore a beautiful Elie Saab Haute Couture gown. The earrings and bracelet are by Neil Lane. He additional jewelry is by Yvel and Diamond in the Rough.

Grammy Awards 2010 - RED CARPET

Lady Gaga in an Armani Prive dress, custom-made, of course. She’s just awesome like that.

What do you think?  What looks did you just love from this year’s Grammys?

The holidays may be full of fun and festivities, but hitting up the
party circuit can become stressful. Figuring out what to wear and how
to make it work for your budget isn’t easy, but thankfully, retailers
are offering tons of party dress options that won’t break the bank!
When the holiday shindig invites start rolling in, remember that a
little sparkle will go a long way. Glittery sequined frocks are
surprisingly versatile paired with everything from heels and fitted
blazers for a professional look or bare shoulders and statement
earrings for a trendy vibe. Here’s our list of 5 sequined party
dresses for under $100 each.

For the sultry showstopper:
This Armani Exchange embellished tank dress ($98) is a stunner,
designed for the woman who wants to make a grand entrance. The glitzy
gunmetal sequins and easy silhouette make the dress an effortlessly
sexy choice. Pair with fierce ankle boots and a cropped leather jacket
for some edge.

So who do you think rocked the red carpet at the 61st Annual Primetime Emmy Awards?

I’ve always been a fan of simple and sleek lines, bright colors and great accessories.  I’m all about “less is more”. That seemed to be the theme a lot of designers and celebrities liked too.

Maybe the classic lines and understated details are reaction to these tough economic times. Whatever the reason, this was a very well-dressed group!

I decided to use video instead of pictures, so I’ve linked to a bunch of TV Guide video interviews from last night’s red carpet. You can see them all on TV Guide’s YouTube channel.

Check them out.  Yes, there are some stars and great looks that are missing.

However, if your favorite isn’t here. Let me know who it is!

Chandra Wilson:

Glenn Close, Holly Hunter and Marcia Gay Harden:

Padma Lakshmi:

Seal and Heidi Klum:

Hayden Panettiere:

Christina Applegate:

Leighton Meester:

Kristin Chenoweth:

Jane Krakowski:

Julia Louis-Dreyfus:

Dana Delany:

Cobie Smulders:

Vanessa Williams:

Mariska Hargitay:

Kate Walsh:

Rose Byrne:

My favorite? Blake Lively’s Versache low cut red dress.

FILM-CANNES/

2009 was supposed to be the year of subdued glamour at Cannes, but someone apparently forgot to tell the stars. Bedecked in Cavalli and Dior, they prowled the red carpet wearing jewels everyone claimed would be left home in the vault. After all, if you can’t be stylish at Cannes, where can you?

Model-actresses are the order of the day at this year’s festival, so it’s unreasonable to expect them to eschew glamour entirely. After all, it’s been their job to look fabulous since long before anyone knew they could speak, much less act.

Devon Aoki, world’s shortest super model (she’s 5′ 4″ or 5′ 5″ depending on who you ask) proved that if you’re gorgeous, you can make even this year’s obsession with yellow work in your favor. She rocked a bright yellow Cavalli at a perfume launch. Later, she attended the premiere of Spring Fever wearing a lilac chiffon Alberta Ferretti.

All eyes will be on Lily Cole, making her film debut in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. She’s been known to wear everything from a poppy-speckled sundress by Jovovich Hawk (at Cannes 2007) to a black satin bustier and matching stretch pants (at the premiere of Rage in Berlin.) Meanwhile, we’ll just continue getting our (non-stretch) pants scared off every time we see her in a Rimmel ad, mysteriously and creepily sans freckles.

Laetitia Casta has modeled for brands as diverse as Victoria’s Secret and Louis Vuitton, and now she’ll expand her brand by making her film debut in sai Ming-Liang’s film Face. Of course, we’ll be interested to see what she wears, but honestly, when you look like Laetitia Casta, you don’t need to wear anything at all.

Summer is the perfect moment for fast fashion. The season of beach and barbecues will scent your clothes with that distinctive sweaty, sloshed drink smell anyway, so why not spend your cash on new margarita glasses instead of clothes that will be one season wonders?

In this spirit, here’s our challenge:  to assemble a complete outfit–from head to toe–for under or around $50.  And to save time and energy (it’s hot outside, and there’s fun to be had), these picks are from just three stores.
